Ryohei is depicted as someone born with a rare type of muscles cells. These cells have, as his Master said, the elasticity and tenderness that only one in a million possess. Therefore, resting more often would allow those cells to constantly be in excellent condition.
Being a boxer, and a very skilled one at it, Ryohei is also very skilled in close quarters combat and rather fast on his feet -- since footwork is supposed to be one of the basics of boxing. Because of his training and his strong muscles, he's also really hard to knock down.
Later in the series, during a special training session, he's also shot by his trainer with another special bullet that entrusted him with the Maximum Cannon: A technique capable of destroying boulders - and even metal - that focuses all of the power of his cells to his fist. During his training, he was unable to maximise the power of this technique to 100% --however, during his fight, his strong feelings toward his sister helped him finally unleash the technique's full power.
In the future, Ryohei learns a special type of footwork from one of his first opponents that permits him to move at a really fast speed and to upgrade his "Maximum Cannon" into the "Maximum Ingran", which deals multiple blows. He carries a special box that contains a kangaroo (which he named Kangaryuu) that when released, grants him a pair of special gloves able to multiply the living cells of his body at great speed permitting himself to heal faster along with a pair of boots that permits him to fly.
Ryohei also carries a box that has the power of healing some kinds of injuries using the sun "Activation" ability (the same as his gloves) and one that unleashes a bunch of solid ropes that can't be untied unless he decides or if he falls unconscious.
