[Somehow, suddenly, you find yourself tied to a chair and held at gunpoint by several thugs. Before you even have time to consider the situation, a white and red blur appears in the abandoned warehouse you appeared in and comes to a halt behind your captors. You then see that it's just some kid in spandex and goggles with ridiculous (ly nice?) hair.]

Don't worry, citizen! Impulse'll take care of these guys! [And then, finally, he takes a good look at you.] Wait a second--

Pretty sure it's just super hard, but let's go find out. [He grins before scooping her up bridal-style superquick and suddenly, they're in an alley a few blocks from the arcade. Then, in a blur, Bart's out of his costume and into typical 90's kid clothes.]

You ready? [Yeah, he probably should have asked that before carrying her halfway across town, but he didn't exactly think it through.]

[Cissie can't help laughing as she realizes what happened. Typical Bart. She nods, straightening her hair and skirt.] Yeah, I'm ready.

Great. [Bart starts walking out of the alley and toward the arcade, somehow managing to wait for Cissie to follow.] It's this way.

So, how have you been? It's been forever since we've seen you, Cissie!

[Impressive! She'll latch onto his hand, if only because it'll make both of their lives easier that way]

Yeah, I know. Sorry about that--you know how crazy things can get. [sheepish smile] But life's good! Pretty calm compared to the storm it could be.

[He's completely fine with this hand-holding, not realizing that it's probably kind of weird at his age.]

If it's so calm, how come you can't come visit? [Now he's pouting. No matter how long it's been, Young Justice just isn't the same without her.]

[O-oh Bart. She squeezes his hand gently.] Because I gave up the superhero gig. I love you guys, but you know I've also got to live a normal life too.

... Now if I could visit Bart Allen? I would in a heartbeat.

[The pout is replaced with a smile as he tightens his grip in return.] You may not be able to visit Bart Allen, but Bart Allen can definitely visit you!

[Then he stops smiling as he realizes something.] I mean, if your school's okay with it.

I'm sure we can get the school to let you in. How did you introduce me to your friends again...? Your friend's sister? St. Elias could probably buy us being related. Or something. [can't help grinning at the memory, even if it's slightly off--if Ciss wanted to, she probably could find every loophole just to let Bart in. Which, conveniently, she does.]

More like my sister's friend. [He hadn't been thinking, okay? How was he supposed to know his friends knew he didn't have a sister?]

We can say we're cousins or something. The school would probably know if you had any brothers. [He doesn't want to make that mistake again.]

[Cissie'd hope that his friends knew about Bart's non-existent sister. That's just a sign of good friendship. Still, she can't help giggling.]

Yeah, they're pretty aware I'm an only child. Buuut I'm pretty sure you can pass as my cousin from my step-father's side.
