(no subject)

[Today is the day for A BEACH TRIP. That's right. Fun in the sun, beach volleyball, forgetting to reapply sunscreen, pretending to drown, throwing sand on sleeping people.

Or, if you're Tim, sitting under a beach umbrella with a book and a can of zesti. It's all very exciting.]

holy crap, I thought I hit post before I left, oops /facepalm

[Conner comes up behind Tim, one hand cradling a beach ball on his hips. He quirks a brow at the other.]

Really, dude? Really?

/heartbreaker B-)

[identity profile] shirtandjeans.livejournal.com 2011-08-20 10:33 pm (UTC)(link)
[Conner sighs, shaking his head.] Tim, buddy...you know this is the beach and not the library, right?

[identity profile] shirtandjeans.livejournal.com 2011-08-21 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
It's called suntan lotion, Tim. It works wonders, even for albinos like you.

For someone who has Bat shark repellant, I'd have thought you guys would have invented the Bat sun repellant.

[Conner sits down on the sand next to time, seeing as the other boy seems intent on staying put. He glances at the book in Tim's hand.] What are you reading, anyways?

[identity profile] shirtandjeans.livejournal.com 2011-08-21 06:41 am (UTC)(link)
[B| Conner does his homework just fine, thank you.]

Nope. What's it about? [He leans back on his arm, eyes watching the waves roll into the beach.]

[identity profile] shirtandjeans.livejournal.com 2011-08-21 02:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Sounds like something you would read. [Patriarchal relationships. Typical.] But I guess it sounds interesting enough, though. If you like that kind of stuff.

Tt. The appeal of this place continues to elude me.

[identity profile] birdthright.livejournal.com 2011-08-22 04:04 pm (UTC)(link)
What part of this is fun?

[identity profile] birdthright.livejournal.com 2011-08-22 04:22 pm (UTC)(link)

You don't get to tell me what I'm supposed to do.

[identity profile] notaluchador.livejournal.com 2011-08-21 09:26 pm (UTC)(link)
[In Jaime's case, he and Paco were playing beach volleyball. It was the most intense game ever! Until, you know, the inevitable came and Jaime had to go hunt down the volleyball while Paco left to go make-out with Brenda.

Passing by Tim, Jaime stops by and gestures towards the ball that's somehow behind Tim.]

Hey, um... can I get that?

[identity profile] notaluchador.livejournal.com 2011-08-21 09:41 pm (UTC)(link)
[This guy looks really familiar, but Jaime can't really pin where they've met before. Hm.

Upon seeing the zesti can, Jaime can't help snorting.]
My bad, man. I'll totally pay for a new can later.

[identity profile] notaluchador.livejournal.com 2011-08-21 10:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Riiight... sorry about that. [Jaime kneels down and picks up the ball. He's about to leave and resume playing, but... he doesn't see Paco anywhere.

Trust his best friend to ditch him at a moment like this. SIGH.]

I think my practice might have to wait for another day.

[identity profile] notaluchador.livejournal.com 2011-08-21 11:29 pm (UTC)(link)
As usual. [Jaime doesn't seem too bothered by this; he'd been kind of expecting it.] We'll probably play again later.

[identity profile] notaluchador.livejournal.com 2011-08-22 03:43 am (UTC)(link)
Are you sure? [Judging from the way Jaime's looking at the soda, he's not sure if he should take it.] I wouldn't want to be imposing on you.

[identity profile] notaluchador.livejournal.com 2011-08-22 07:21 pm (UTC)(link)
[He hesitates for a moment before setting the volleyball aside and sitting down beside Tim.] Well then... thanks.

What's a "zesti" anyways? I don't think we get them in El Paso.

[It's not often that Bruce's annoyed out of costume. And yet he totally IS. Why? Because he's just spent the last hour on the phone with one very stupid answering service that somehow thought he was in town this past weekend. Eventually, the mess got cleared up, but that was still one hour of his life he really wanted back.

Rubbing his temples, he sighs and finally - finally! - hangs up before taking a seat beside Tim.]
If they call again, I promise I'll be switching services.

[identity profile] onceaguardian.livejournal.com 2011-08-22 12:12 am (UTC)(link)
But then they'd pile on the guilt trips. [Clearly he has played this game before and lost.] It's pretty much a catch-22.

[identity profile] onceaguardian.livejournal.com 2011-08-22 03:54 am (UTC)(link)
Unfortunately. [He smiles back as he reaches over for his book. It's nothing fancy or special - just a typical mystery novel.] On the upside, I haven't actually run into people I know here.

[identity profile] onceaguardian.livejournal.com 2011-08-22 07:56 pm (UTC)(link)
If only through the tabloids.
